C-Engage Roundtable: Event-Driven Architecture: the Undercurrent of All Digital Transformation Success Stories

Business agility is the capability of a company to rapidly change or adapt in response to changes in the market. The concept is centred around handling operations and resources in a flexible, responsive manner to drive maximum business value.

One of the least understood, least discussed tools for enabling this agility is an event-driven architecture (EDA). It has appeared in a few other names in the past including message-driven architecture (MDA) and flows from service-oriented architectures (SOA).

Gartner’s top strategic technology trends for 2021 point to the key trends as all about data correlation, real-time processing, analytics, and integration between various systems and technologies—all of that globally and securely.

Whatever we call it, what is clear is that CIOs and CTOs must articulate EDA in a language that business and finance leaders can understand. For example, how EDA can transform payments to support initiatives like faster payments or the agility needed to securely support borderless commerce and banking in real-time.

Hearing about experiences and best practices is at the core of our C-Engage roundtable titled “Event-driven architecture: the undercurrent of all digital transformation success stories”.

To be held on 5 February 2021, a meeting of peers offers a rare opportunity to discover and learn how exactly EDA supports an accelerating digital transformation journey.
