CFOs as accelerators of digital priorities in 2022

About this event

In its 2022-23 budget, the Hong Kong government acknowledged that innovation and technology (I&T) contribute to the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries. As outlined in the “14th Five-Year plan” the construction of a Digital China will require enterprises in Hong Kong to be digital-ready and cybersecurity-resilient.

Gartner’s 2022 Finance Digital Plans & Priorities lists improve the flexibility of budgeting & forecasting (58%), develop digital skills (56%), redefine employee value proposition in hybrid environments (54%) are the top three areas that finance leaders will be spending most of their time in 2022.

While addressing data governance (67%) is where finance leaders expect to face the most significant challenge.

To be ready to capitalise on its role as a ‘super-connector’, Hong Kong needs to modernise its use of mature technologies like ERP and integrate these with emerging ones like artificial intelligence, advanced analytics, automation, and 5G.

The challenges for CFO will be balancing business priorities and goals for 2022 and beyond, against the continuing pandemic constraints and the desire to use the opportunity of technology-led innovation to get ready for the post-pandemic normal.

For the CFO, the time is ripe to develop a strategy that makes optimum use of available resources and identify a digital strategy that not only transforms the organisation to be competitive in the new, uncertain, and evolving marketplace.

Welcome to CFOs as accelerators of digital priorities in 2022, a virtual forum exclusively organised for finance leaders in Hong Kong aimed at helping make sense of the many challenges and opportunities present.

Jointly organised by FutureCFO and SAP, the 75-minute event will provide participants with workable guideposts for navigating the challenges ahead of us.
