Michael is the current Senior Vice President, Group Head, Corporate and Digital Operations at Union Bank of the Philippines. He was the former President/CEO, Price Solutions Phils. Inc., at Standard Chartered PLC (UK) Fully Owned Subsidiary and the former Vice-President, Ci bank, N.A. (Philippine Branch) for Sales and Distribution. Under his leadership he has been awarded by Infosys: Highly Commended API-based Innova on for @TalktoRafa UnionBank’s Chatbot in 2017 and the Digital Banker’s Global Retail Banking Innovation on Awards: Highly Acclaimed Chatbot Service in 2019. He was also awarded the Asia-Pacific Stevie Gold Medal Award for Innovative Use of Technology in Customer Service – Financial Service in 2019 along with the Asian Technology Excellence Award: Philippines Technology Excellence Award for AI in Banking for its AI-driven solution on for Anti Money Laundering (AML) Operations in 2023.
