Ir Dr Ted Suen has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of ASTRI, effective from 2 July 2025. He is a distinguished technology executive with over 30 years of experience in information technology and digital transformation.
Prior to joining ASTRI, he was President of Lenovo PCCW Solutions (LPS), driving go-to-market strategies and innovative technology solutions across the region. Previously, Ir Dr Suen served as the Executive Director of Digital Mobility and Chief Technology Officer of the Land Mobility sector at NEOM, Saudi Arabia, leading cognitive digital mobility strategies for its innovative smart city project. Before NEOM, he spent a decade as Chief Information Officer at MTR Corporation in Hong Kong, where he formulated corporate IT strategies, managed global IT operations, and spearheaded digital transformation initiatives.
Ir Dr Suen has been an active member of the Hong Kong Computer Society, serving as President from 2017 to 2021 and holding numerous leadership roles that have significantly contributed to Hong Kong’s Information and Communications Technology (ICT) development. His commitment extends to nurturing talent through advisory roles at various universities and as an Adjunct Professor at the City University of Hong Kong from 2020 to 2022 and currently an Honorary Professor of Hong Kong Metropolitan University.
His industry contributions have earned numerous accolades, including the 2012 China Top 5 CIO Award, the 2013 Hong Kong CIO Award for Large Enterprises, and the 2014 Asia CIO Award. He was bestowed the Medal of Honor from the HKSAR Government in 2020 for his commitment to the local ICT talent cultivation and development.
Ir Dr Suen is a Distinguished Fellow of the Hong Kong Computer Society, Fellow of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers and a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport. He holds a Doctor of Business Administration from SBS Swiss Business School, a Master’s Degree in Professional Accounting from Charles Sturt University, and double bachelor degrees in Economics and Science from the Australian National University.
