Dr. Ismamuradi Bin Abdul Kadir, known as Dr. Isma, currently serves as the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at Bank Muamalat Malaysia Berhad. In 2023, he was honored with the Cyber Security Professional of the Year award at the Malaysia Cyber Security Awards.
With over 24 years of experience in cybersecurity, information technology, risk management, business continuity, transformation management, security product evaluation, performance management, and project management, Dr. Isma has made significant contributions across various industries, government sectors, and financial institutions.
Dr. Isma holds a Doctor of Business Administration from the Swiss School of Management in Rome, a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the National University of Malaysia, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Computing from Oxford Brookes University, UK. He is also certified as a Certified Chief Information Security Officer (C|CISO), Certified Professional Leader, Certified
Information Security Awareness Manager (CISAM), Certified KPI Professional, and CyberSAFE Ambassador.
At Bank Muamalat Malaysia Berhad, Dr. Isma is a key figure in handling strategic and operational matters related to technology and cyber risk. He spearheaded the development of the bank’s Cybersecurity Strategic Plan, significantly enhancing the organization’s cybersecurity posture. Additionally, he plays a crucial role in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, including Risk Management in Technology from Bank Negara Malaysia and the Personal Data Protection Act.
Dr. Isma’s strategic engagement with stakeholders, combined with his extensive experience, knowledge, and skills in information security, has established him as a prominent professional in the field of cybersecurity in Malaysia.
