Kent has over two decades of IT experience in the industry. With a background in IT consulting and application development, Kent has worked with various firms and projects from software companies to banks and now retail. Kent started as a programmer in IBM and moved on to developing trading applications at various banks such as Nomura, Citibank and BNP Paribas mostly using Java technologies.
Kent then went on to become the Head of Application Development at BNP Paribas Asset Management, where he managed the North America Information Technology Development team, provided daily support, maintenance, and application development to the investment team, risk, operations, and legal compliance. He also managed and developed a proprietary portfolio management system to support a wide variety of fixed income products, including mortgage-backed securities, futures, options, CDS, and more for more than 13 years.
After moving back to Hong Kong in 2015, Kent has worked at Citadel Securities, one of the biggest hedge funds from US, in Hong Kong and is currently serving as the Head of Technology (CTO) at DECATHLON Hong Kong.
