Patrick Bruinsma is a highly experienced Software Technical Leader in IBM ASEAN who has spent the past 26 years working for IBM in various countries. Throughout his career, Patrick has focused on large-scale enterprise computing, and has a wealth of expertise in technical leadership, cybersecurity, hybrid cloud, resiliency, workload modernisation, transactional processing and architecture methods. He has worked extensively with many different technologies, including a variety of database technologies, transactional processing systems, and middleware, with a particular focus on IBM Z. Patrick is passionate about sharing his knowledge and has authored Redbooks, spoken at events, and taught at institutions such as ITE, Temasek Polytechnic, and SMU in Singapore.
