Yum Shoen Yih is Head Special Projects at the Cyber Security Agency (CSA) of Singapore, who previously led the Cyber Security Programme Centre (CSPC), which is responsible for securing government networks and systems and implement programmes to enable a safer and resilient nation.
He has served in the Republic of Singapore Navy and other units in the Ministry of Defence (MINDEF) so has over 30 years of experience in cybersecurity as well as military strategies and technologies to make Singapore a safer place to live and work online. Shoen Yih is a risk-based security practitioner and believes in practical and effective strategies that can secure both commercial and public sectors against threats. He has authored CSA publications on securing businesses that use the Internet and has presented in international and local conferences in Singapore as well as overseas.
