Data Modernisation in a Sovereignty-Driven Era
ABOUT THIS EVENT
Analyst forecasts highlight a growing data storage challenge across Asia Pacific. Valued in the mid-to-high tens of billions; the region’s data-center storage market is projected to grow at 9–14% CAGR through the early 2030s — more than doubling in size over the next decade. A 2026 IDC-linked study reinforces this trend; 94.7% of organisations are storing more data than a year earlier, while 74% expect volumes to increase by at least 25% over the next three years.
With component cost pressures and supply constraints expected to persist well into 2027, enterprises face rising total cost of ownership (TCO) and greater complexity in planning storage upgrades and refresh cycles. For IT leaders in financial services, government and manufacturing, these numbers translate into a concrete challenge: how to accommodate rapidly growing data volumes, maintain performance, resilience and manage costs without compromising on future readiness.
Legacy storage environments and ageing virtualisation platforms struggle to meet today’s demands for availability, hybrid operations and resilience from cyber-attacks. With downtime carrying significant operational, regulatory and reputational costs, modernisation without disruption is non-negotiable.
Data sovereignty initiatives and operational-resilience requirements are driving greater demand for local control, data integrity and recovery readiness. At the same time, virtualisation licensing changes, support timelines and the need to run traditional and cloud-native workloads are prompting a reassessment of existing platforms. Platform modernization is now a strategic business priority; Modern architectures need to ensure high availability, strengthen governance and improve resilience without disrupting mission-critical operations.
FutureCIO, in partnership with Hitachi Vantara, will host a live webinar on the practical decisions that will determine whether data modernisation programs deliver resilience, compliance and long-term value.
Key topics to be covered include:
- Data architecture challenges across regulated and data-intensive sectors
- How data sovereignty and operational resilience are reshaping storage and virtualisation strategies
- How unified data platforms must deliver performance, security and resilience
- Enabling hybrid virtualisation architectures that introduce cloud-like agility while protecting existing investments and operational control
Join this webinar to discover how to modernize data and virtualization platforms with confidence. Gain practical insights to reduce infrastructure costs, strengthen cyber resilience, regulatory compliance and enhance operational efficiency.
