Derek is a client-focused, high-performing C-suite leader with a 28-year career spanning Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia and Hong Kong. A Building Services engineer by training with multi-disciplinary Architectural, Engineering and Construction (AEC) experience, he has held senior roles across Strategic Asset & Facilities Management, Construction, Project Management and ICT including 13+ years in facilities engineering for mission-critical environments such as data centres, airports and hospitals. He currently leads a global ICT support team, drawing on deep foundations in governance, risk management and technology.
Derek combines strategic vision with hands-on commercial acumen: P&L ownership, risk and change management, and delivery of sustainable growth against forecast EBIT. A practitioner of PAS 55-1, ISO 55000 and PMBOK, and an advocate of the Kaplan-Norton Balanced Scorecard, he is known for building strong stakeholder relationships, mentoring high-performing teams, and aligning customer expectations with business capability.
