Dr. Yustinus Lambang Setyo Putro is a senior finance, legal, and tax executive in Indonesia’s palm oil industry, currently serving as Advisor to the CEO at Minamas Plantation Group a subsidiary of Sime Darby Plantation Berhad (Malaysia) and one of Indonesia’s largest palm oil producers, operating 69 plantations and 23 mills across Sumatra, Kalimantan, and Sulawesi. He brings a multidisciplinary background combining accounting (Ak.), law (S.H.), an MBA, and an LLM, alongside a doctorate, and has held senior roles at the group including Director of Minamas Plantation and Director of PT Bhumireksa Nusasejati (PT BNS), a subsidiary handling the group’s corporate social responsibility programmes across Riau province.
He is also active in industry leadership through the Indonesian Palm Oil Producers Association (GAPKI), where he currently serves as Chairman of the Taxation and Fiscal Affairs Division. In this capacity, he is a frequent public voice on palm oil taxation policy including the tax implications of Indonesia’s Omnibus Law on Job Creation for the plantation sector and, more recently, on strengthening law enforcement around export oversight and under-invoicing practices in the palm oil trade.
