09:40am Keynote: Data is the Real AI Platform. Your AI is Only as Good as Your Data Estate
As a Solutions Architect at CloudMile, Jin Yao works with public sector and enterprise clients across Singapore and the region, shaping cloud and data architectures from first conversation through to delivery scope. Much of his work sits at the point where ambition meets constraint: what an organisation wants its data to do, and what its data is presently capable of doing.
Before consulting, Jin Yao spent several years in delivery at Singapore’s Land Transport Authority, building data pipelines, deployment tooling, and cloud infrastructure for internal systems. That grounding shapes how he advises today. He is cautious about designs that look elegant on a slide but fail on contact with production.
His current focus is the data estate beneath enterprise AI: connectivity, governance, and the unglamorous question of whether the numbers a model returns can actually be trusted. Most organisations do not have an AI problem. They have a data problem wearing an AI costume.
Jin Yao holds certifications across AWS and Google Cloud, and he still prefers to prove an architecture by building it.
