A seasoned leader with over 30 years of experience spanning law, digital transformation, management consulting, and public-sector innovation. His career reflects a rare combination of regulatory expertise, large-scale programme delivery, and strategic policy.
He began his career as Legal Counsel at PETRONAS, specialising in oil and gas law, where he developed a strong foundation in regulatory frameworks and complex commercial environments. He later transitioned into project and programme management, leading major national digital initiatives including iPerintis and ePerolehan, delivering high-impact technology platforms at scale. He subsequently served as an Associate Consultant at Kearney, focusing on change management, where he advised organisations on transformation strategy, stakeholder alignment, and execution excellence.
Committed to sustainable and inclusive development, he recently completed a Master in Sustainable Development Management at the Jeffrey Sachs Center (JSC), Sunway University, strengthening his policy, sustainability, and systems-thinking capabilities.
He currently serves as Director of AI Policy at the National AI Office (NAIO), Ministry of Digital, where he is responsible for the strategic implementation of the AI Nation 2030 framework, shaping national AI governance, policy direction, and cross-sector adoption to support Malaysia’s digital and economic transformation.
