Aaron Tan has a strong passion in the area of IT, Digital and Enterprise Architecture related fields and he firmly believes that only with the proper architecture practices that maximum of technology investment can be realized by the business. With this keen passion and selfless contribution, he has been actively involved in various professional and industry bodies across Asia Pacific to share and contribute his vast experiences through various voluntary engagement channels to uplift the architecture practices through Digital Enterprise Architecture adoption.

Aaron is an accredited trainer for TOGAF® EA Practitioner and ArchiMate® EA Practitioner and he is also an Iasa® accredited trainer for CITA certification courses as well as co-author for BTABoK (Business Technology Architecture Body of Knowledge). He was also part of the Iasa’s core authors in defining the world’s first 256 IT Architect’s skill set in Seattle, USA. In addition, Aaron is also the co-author of IASA IT Architect Certification training courses i.e. the 3-Days IT Architecture Bootcamp and the 5-Days IT Architecture Core that both courses lead to the global professional certifications for IT Architects. Since December 2009, Aaron has been actively delivering these courses in Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Hong Kong, Macau, Japan and Indonesia, with roadmap to deliver this program across the rest of the Asia Pacific region.

As an industry thought leader in the IT Architecture arena, Aaron is a frequent public speaker and he speaks with passion and charisma and has been consistently ranked in the top 10% in speaker ratings in most of the international IT events. He has been public speaking frequently since 2004 in Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Hong Kong, Vietnam, United Arab of Emirates, USA, Korea, Japan and Indonesia, presenting various IT & Business related topics across Asia Pacific region. His charismatic, passionate and entertaining presentation style has been well received.

In April 2013, Aaron has been officially appointed as an expert in the Community of Practice Enterprise Architecture (COP EA) for Malaysian public sector by MAMPU (Malaysia Administrative Modernization & Management Planning Unit under Prime Minister Office to assist in the formation of National Enterprise Architecture Frameworks and Practices. In 2023, Aaron has been conferred to Fellow of Singapore Computer Society in recognition of his efforts and contributions to the ICT industry.
