Devabalan is the Malaysia Country Managing Partner and Financial Services Sector Key Accounts Lead in the IBM Consulting, ASEAN. He has extensive experiences in managing large scale cross functional multi country transformation programs, predominantly in the banking industry. Deva led major banking transformation programmes such as digitalisation of customer journeys, process automation, core banking implementation across 4 major markets, and worked closely with start ups and FinTechs to execute various innovative experiments, among others. In a career spanning 3 decades Deva spent his early career in consulting in Arthur Andersen and KPMG Consulting, before spending  close to 2 decades in a major regional bank, most notably as a Transformation Leader and Head of Innovation Lab.
