Esmond Tong was appointed Managing Director, SAP Hong Kong and Macau, in August 2022. Based in Hong Kong, Esmond leads the company to execute key business and operational priorities, positions SAP as the trusted partner for enterprise customers and support them to stay resilient, profitable, and sustainable while leveraging SAP’s wide portfolio of enterprise software applications.

Esmond is a seasoned technology leader with a proven track record in building and leading sales, marketing and delivery organizations while delivering revenue growth. Before SAP, Esmond was Chief Revenue Officer at Falaina Co. Ltd, responsible for overall global sales and marketing. Prior to that, he served in various leadership positions at Oracle China and Oracle Asia Pacific for 13
years. In his last role as Vice President and General Manager, Application and SaaS, Oracle China, Esmond successfully spearheaded the overall Sales, Go-to-Market and P&L for the Oracle Application License and SaaS business in China covering ERP, HCM and Customer Experience solution segments. Previously, Esmond has worked for BEA, Gartner and HP in various country and regional management positions.

Esmond graduated from the University of Hong Kong with a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. He also holds an MBA degree from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.
