Jared Valarao is the Chief Financial Officer of Philippines AirAsia. He is responsible for planning, managing, and controlling the accounting, treasury, corporate finance, commercial forecasting and strategic planning functions for the Philippine subsidiary of the world’s best low-cost airline.

Prior to joining AirAsia, Jared was the Head of Revenue Growth Management of Colgate-Palmolive, the world’s leading oral care brand. He is part of the team which led the Philippine business to unprecedented growth, even beating pre-pandemic levels. Since joining the Philippine subsidiary at the start of 2020, its profits grew as much as the entire European business units of Colgate-Palmolive combined as the brands consistently outperformed competition even in already mature and highly competitive categories. Jared has been invited as an expert resource by Acumen Commercial Insights, a leading industry think tank based in the UK, to share Philippines’ success story to the consumer packaged goods industry.

Jared began his corporate career as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), specializing in commercial analysis, risk assessment and investment valuation. He has experience in power generation, ecommerce, and consumer packaged goods performing various progressing roles in finance, marketing, and sales. He is currently associated with the Asian Institute of Management and also a Certified Management Accountant with a level 9 NZQF rating by the New Zealand Qualification Authority which is equivalent to a Master’s Degree in Australia and New Zealand.
