Ryan Gan is presently heading BASF Asia Pacific’s financial reporting of nearly 70 companies spanning across ASEAN, Australia & New Zealand, Greater China, and South Asia with total revenue approximating €15 billion per annum. He was formerly Supervisory Board of Director for several China joint venture companies and had progressive career being Deputy Finance Director for three SunPower Solar Cell Manufacturing Fabs in Malaysia and Philippines, Country Finance Head for Shell Lubricants Supply Chain Malaysia, Regional Costing with Infineon Technologies, and auditing with the Big Four accounting firms. A commercial and financial leader with over 20 years of impactful experience managing investor-relations, joint venture and investment evaluations/financing, plant start-ups, acquisitions, liquidation, corporate cost improvements and turn-around projects.

Being a passionate leader, Ryan believes people are key assets to corporate success. He foresaw the ultra-importance around Industry 4.0 and is innovating his team on the journey of Robotic Process Automation and Business Analytics. As Technoledge is equally vital, Ryan sponsored several globally admired projects on Knowledge Management and New Employee Onboarding. Ryan holds an Honors Accounting Degree from Malaysia Multimedia University and is a Chartered Accountant (CA) of Malaysia, ASEAN Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), MICPA, and Fellow Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). He is also a strong advocate for renewable energies and environmental 3R to safeguard global sustainability for our next generations.
