EVENT OVERVIEW

Driven by government spending, investment, and a low base effect from 2025, Indonesia targets economic growth of 5.4% in 2026, with inflation at 2.5% and stable macroeconomic indicators. The Indonesia’s parliament’s approved 2026 budget, includes increased spending of $231.5 billion and a fiscal deficit of 2.68%, is planned to accelerate the country’s growth in Southeast Asia’s largest economy, create jobs and reduce inequality, while ensuring macroeconomic stability.

To realise the Golden Indonesia 2045 vision, where the country aims to emerge as the fifth-largest economy in the world, Indonesia is paving the way for the nation’s evolution in the digital age. The Indonesia’s government is currently developing a national artificial intelligence (AI) roadmap and building an ethical and responsible AI ecosystem to keep up with the rapid technological advances and strengthen the country’s global competitiveness.

Also, 2026 promises a finance leadership era defined by agility, innovation, and resilience—where human judgement and AI empowerment coalesce to transform decision enablement and sustain competitive advantage in the Indonesia vibrant market.

With the accelerated adoption of AI in fintech, real-time analytics, and regulatory frameworks, how can finance leaders in Indonesia successfully merge the latest technology advancements with prudent financial strategy to unlock new growth streams and operational efficiencies?
