Gartner’s 2023 CEO survey revealed that environmental issues entered the top 10 priority ranking for the first time in the history of the survey. Gartner VP analyst, Bettina Tratz-Ryan says CIOs are under increasing pressure to initiate or reinvigorate their IT for sustainability programs.

With 70% of enterprise workloads moving to the cloud, organisations need a cloud strategy that takes into account sustainable data centre operations, the ability to support in-country cloud bandwidth and high-speed private connectivity.

Gartner says being sustainability-ready applies to cloud and storage, infrastructure, and operations. With business putting a high priority on customer experience and security, it is also critical to provide private network connectivity between enterprises and public cloud service providers.
