From AI Blueprint to Business Process: Building Integrated AI Workflows
ABOUT THIS EVENT
Malaysia’s AI journey is at a critical inflexion point. The government’s strategic push and massive cloud investments have built the runway. However, for most enterprises, the plane is still being constructed mid-flight. The initial phase of experimentation with standalone Large Language Models (LLMs) like ChatGPT has revealed a hard truth: LLMs alone are not enough.
As the Boomi guide states, LLMs are “eager-to-please digital minions”, but they “can’t accomplish tasks within our businesses. They’re not taking action.” This is the core of Malaysia’s integration challenge. Enterprises are struggling to move from AI as a conversational tool to AI as an operational asset.
The primary hurdles are now clearly defined:
- The data-action gap: Data is siloed in legacy systems (SAP, NetSuite, local CRMs), making it inaccessible to AI. Without a “connectivity linchpin,” AI models are generic and lack business context.
- The illusion of ROI: Proof-of-concepts flourish, but production deployments stall because companies cannot connect AI to core workflows to deliver measurable outcomes, such as faster order processing or reduced customer churn.
- The trust deficit: Concerns about AI “hallucinations,” data privacy, and a lack of governance make businesses hesitant to grant AI the “agency” to act, perpetuating a “wait-and-see” mentality that cedes advantage to competitors.
The path forward is to embrace agentic AI—AI systems that perceive, decide, and act—orchestrated through a robust integration platform and governed by clear guardrails. This moves AI from being a “technology toy” to the central nervous system of the intelligent enterprise.
FutureCIO, in partnership with Boomi, is organising an exclusive, first-of-its-kind roundtable discussion where we will explore the practical aspects of adoption—transitioning from proof of concepts (ideas) to the safe, scalable deployment of agentic AI into current workflows. We will also examine the management frameworks needed post-integration to ensure sustained, responsible operations.
You are cordially invited to be the first among your peers to operationalise AI into the business workflow.
